Two weeks and counting to the Ride. I've been looking for ways to keep people up-to-date on my progress through the coming weekend and have decided to create a small transient blog for that purpose. Blackberry willing, I will be posting periodic updates from the roads, hills and valleys of southern Ontario on the weekend of June 21-22.

- As a long-time Toronto resident and cyclist, I've been able to combine my inclination towards "good works" and personal challenges by riding in the "Ride to Conquer Cancer", a 200+ km, 2-day cycling trip from downtown Toronto to Niagara Falls.
Aside from the personal challenge, the Ride is a key fund-raising initiative of the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, one of the top five cancer research hospitals in the world.
I've cycled both the inaugural Ride to Conquer Cancer in 2008 and the 2009 edition. 2010 brings a new challenge -- I'm going to be riding a new 200 mile route.
I'll be using this blog primarily to capture some thoughts and an image or two on the road to the Falls.
